Welcome to the blog.

Welcome to the Roverway 2012 Girlguiding UK Contingent blog, with just five days until I fly out for the event of a lifetime I thought we needed a way to keep everyone updated.
Roverway has really crept up on me, it seems like an age ago I got a phone call to say I had been appointed as the Head of Contingent for this event. Since then I have traveled to Finland for the HoCs planning meeting, been on many trains back and forth to London for meetings, driven half way round the Country for many more events.
In April the whole Contingent gathered at Beaudesert in Staffordshire for a Briefing weekend - it was wet and cold, but we were well fed, all got to know each other, dressed up teddies and took part in many different activities.
Since April it has been all go with meetings and many late nights, finally today I was emailed in the last bit of paperwork and I feel that we are ready to go.

A massive thankyou to all the staff at Girlguiding UK CHQ, Contingent members, Parents, Friends and other Guiding members who have helped us get to this point.

Until next time,

Colette x
